The Global Theatre Project has a performance and project coming up for teens called the Creative Corps program which is the result of an eight year collaboration with the city of Florence, Italy. 

On May 21, at 7.30pm at the Wells Fargo Theatre at the Autry Museum in Griffith Park the Global Theatre Project will be presenting LIVING AN EXPLORER’S DESIRE.  The theatre performance introduces artistic works developed in Florence with American and Italian artists primarily in Italian and English with subtitles in both languages and the work is based on the theme of immigration.  The various pieces are written from Italian and the American perspectives as well as expatriates living in Italy. The evening will also serve to introduce their new youthCreative Corps program.  

The Global Theatre Project’s Creative Corps program focuses on introducing the question of global citizenship to youth by developing opportunities for them to connect to international communities and socially relevant themes through intellectual inquiry and creative expression.  The program will seek to empower teens with the passion to become leaders in their communities with confidence that their engagement in the world is both possible and essential.

This event will kick-off a year-long project of exploring the issues of immigration both locally and globally with various partners.  The resulting work with be shared with the public in May of 2014. 


The evening is sure to be a unique experience where everyone will be given the opportunity share their thoughts and ideas with other audience members and artists of The Global Theatre Project.
